Viikingi hooaeg on alanud
Esimese talikrossi Elvas jätsid meie klubi ratturid vahele, kasutades sel ajal veel treeningvahendina suusatamist. Suur osa klubi liikmetest on tänavu talvel olnud väga aktiivsed suusatajad. Klubi roheline riietus on säranud ja tooni andnud erinevatele suusamaratonidel, – sõitudel. Sealhulgas mainekal Tartu Maratonil.
2011. aasta Eesti Meistrivõistlused Talikrossis toimusid laupäeval Elvas, kus jagati medaleid neljas võistlusklassis naistele ja kaheksas võistlusklassis meestele. Kokku osales ligi 200 ratturit.
Libedal rajal oli olulise tähtsusega tehnilised oskused ja hea koordinatsiooni tunnetus.
Vanuseklassis M14 startis 37 võistleja seas Karl Patrick Lauk, kel tuli läbida 2x 3km saavutades 6. koha.
Steven Kalfi võistlusklass on teist aastat M16. Tal tuli sõita võistluse käigus 10,2 km(3×3,4 km). Kolmekümne viie ratturi seas sai Steven lõpuprotokollis 22. koha.
M18 klassis alustas meie klubist starti Mihkel Räim ja Endrik Puntso, kes said kahekümne kaheksa võistleja seas vastavalt 12. ja 15. koha.
SEN2 klassis võistlevatel ratturid läbisid 4×3,4 km ja aasta algusest meie klubi ridades võistlev Jaanus Sarv oli 4.
Viikingi medaliarve avas meie klubiga liitunud U23 vanuseklassis Sten Sarv, kes saavutas talikrossil 1. koha.
