Ratturid võistlesid Viljandis ja Viidumäel
Laupäeval 14. mail võistlesid SJK Viikingi jalgratturid Viljandi tänavasõidul, mis oli ühtlasi Eesti kriteeriumisõidu meistrivõistluste teiseks etapiks. Esimeses stardis, kus võistlesid kuni 12 aastased poisid, saavutasid Viikingi ratturid Mihkel Räim ja Kevin Soon vastavalt 4. ja 5. koha, võitis Tallinna Kalevi Jalgrattakooli esindanud Karl Juudas. Selles sõidus finiðeeris teisena sünnilt saarlane, kuid praegu Tallinna CFC-d esindav Oskar Nisu, kes on Saaremaa ühe edukama maadleja Ants Nisu poeg.Väga tublit sõitu Viljandi üliraskel rajal tegi juunioride klassis võistlev Riko Räim, kes kuni viimase ringi tõusuni oli teise koha konkurentsis, kuid pidi seekord leppima veel 5. kohaga. Meeste eliit klassis olid stardijoonel ka Eesti ainsa Kalev Chocolate Classicu kõik 8 ratturit, kellel lõpuks õnnestus võistluselt võtta ka nelikvõit. Andrei Mustoneni võiduga lõppenud sõidul ei õnnestunud, erinevatel põhjustel finišini jõuda ühelgi SJK Viikingi kolmest stardis olnud võistlejast – nii Riko Räim, kui Ivari ja Indrek Rannama olid sunnitud katkestama. Katkestamisega lõppes ka M-16 klassis oma esimesel Saaremaa välisel võistlusel osalenud Margus Magusa sõit, kellele, nagu paljudele kaasvõstlejatelegi, osutus Viljandi ringi ränk 18% tõus seekord veel liialt raskeks.
Pühapäeval sõideti Viidu teel Viikingi KV 7. etapp 2×5 km eraldistardist. Selle kevade viimasel kodusel võistlusel, kust haiguse tõttu puudusid Indrek Rannama ja Riko Räim, saavutas ajaga 14.57 oma selle hooaja esimese võidu Rigo Räim. Teise koha saavutas Jüri Suluste (15.42) Aimur Arge (15.46) ees, tõustes sellega Karikavõistluste kokkuvõttes neljandaks ja jäädes nüüd vaid 2 punkti kaugusele 3. kohal asetsevast Riko Räimest. Noorte vanuseklassides olid edukamad Margus Magus (18.03) ja Mihkel Räim (19.20). Margus on oma vanuseklassi liider ka üldkokkuvõttes, kuid M-14 klassis kaotab Mihkel Räim veel 3 punktiga Kevin Soonile.
Karikavõistluste viimane etapp sõidetakse augusti lõpus, kui toimub järjekordne Saaremaa Rattasõit.
